Probably dating to about 1400 and French or English, these are stunning works of art despite their losses. The figures almost certainly represent the Annunciation and are shown on integral bases with shields and blind gothic tracery. The Angel Gabriel is shown kneeling holding a banner and has wings whilst the Virgin is depicted seated with her hands in the praying position. They were almost certainly defaced by iconoclasts in the 16th or 17 century which suggests that they might be English . They are approximately 30 inches high and can be sold either with or without the purpose made plinths which are 37 inches high.
