A fine oil on canvas portrait of a lady in a green dress attended by a pageboy holding a bowl of fruit. The giltwood frame has a label reading "Lady St George, aunt of Dr. Chiceley". She was probably Mary, the daughter of Sir Thomas Dayrell, and married Sir Henry St. George (1581-1644). Sir Henry was Garter King of Arms and died in Oxford whilst in service with Charles I. The portrait is unsigned but is of fine quality and is of the circle of Sir Anthony Vandyke. It measures 54 1/2 inches x 45 inches across the 18th century frame.
