A very a rare set of 17 high back chairs with caned backs and seats. Probably dating from the first quarter of the 18th century, they are made from a very hard form of pitch pine and may be Scandinavian. They have a good rake to the backs, boldly turned front stretchers and "Spanish feet". They can be bought as the full set of 17 or in smaller quantities. They are £4850 for the 17 which equates to about £285 chair.
