Of narrow and elegant proportions, this chest has two short and three long drawers which are veneered in tight grained burr walnut as in the base which forms the attractively shaped feet. The oak top has a moulded edge and has wonderful figuring to the timber, the sides are panelled and the back is boarded. Excellent rich colour and patination. Circa 1715. It measures just 30 inches wide x 18 1/2 inches deep x 37 inches high.
