A stunning George III bacon of unusually small proportions. It is made entirely from burr ash with wonderful figuring to the timber. Freestanding with a panelled back with excellent patination, it has two small cupboards to the top above a pair of fielded panel doors behind which is the space where the bacon would hang from its iron hooks which are still intact. The base with swept arms, a burr ash seat and two short and one long drawer. Superb colour and patination throughout. Probably West country circa 1780. 42 inches wide x 22 inches deep x 72 inches high.
