This very interesting English oak carved panel shows Christ on the Cross surrounded by vines and grapes. It is remarkably similar to the carving on a pew end in Abbotsham, Devon which is illustrated in Church Woodcarvings, a West Country Study by J.C.D. Smith page 69. It measures 14 1/2 inches high x 6 inches wide.
