Probably Flemish circa 1600, this wonderful pair of panels show two scenes from the Crucifixion. Very deeply carved, one shows Christ and the two thieves on the cross with the mourners and a soldier on horseback at the base. The other shows the body of Christ being lowered from the cross with a long cloth by two men. 13 inches high x 11 1/2 inches wide.
