Probably Scottish, this late 18th century table peerman has a steel strip iron clamp and a wonderfully patinated ash conical base. It is totally original. See John Caspall "Making Fire and Light pre-1820" pages 202 and 203 for similar examples. 15 1/2 inches high overall, the base 4 1/2 inches high x 5 inches diameter.
