Dating from the second half of the 16th century and of English origin, this large oak angel is shown kneeling and holding something in the left hand which may be a scourge, a symbol of the Christ's flagellation. On the back can be seen the remains the remains of the wings. It was probably one of a pair on altar. 28 inches high.
