A 15TH/16TH CENURY OAK ANGEL.

Probably English circa 1500, this charming oak fragment depicts an angel with arched wings between typically English leaf and bud spandrels and is shown kneeling holding a banner. The timber is dark and heavy and has excellent colour and patination. 14 inches high x 5 inches wide x 1 1/2 inches deep.
