A fine and large 16th century brass alms bowl centred in repousse with an Annunciation scene and two bands of Gothic script. For a similar, but smaller example, see Sotheby's sale European Works of Art 9th December 2005 lot 18, estimated at £6000-£8000. Nuremberg first half of the 16th century. 14 1/2 inches diameter x 2 1/2 inches deep.
