Sometimes called a "peerman" this iron standing candle holder has a height adjuster sprung mechanism, two candle holders, hooks for hanging strings of candles and trefoil feet. A very similar example is illustrated in Seymour Lindsay's "Iron and Brass Implements of the English House" fig 243 (The Geffrye Museum). 56 inches high.
