A rare Tudor oak panel depicting a "Green Man" in a carved roundel. The carving is typical of English Renaissance work as can be seen on very similar panels from Waltham Abbey. See "Design & the Decorative Arts in Tudor and Stuart Britain" page 45. Circa 1530. 19 inches x 11 inches.
