A proportionally pleasing oak side table from the last quarter of the 17th century. The two plank top has a moulded edge on all four sides above a single drawer. The gun barrel legs terminate on their original bun feet and it has well shaped flat X stretchers. Excellent dark rich colour. On the back there is a label which reads "W.Webber Taunton. 40 gns". William Webber was a BADA member antiques dealer with a shop in Taunton in the 1920s. 31 1/2 inches wide x 19 inches deep x 29 inches high.
