Of narrow proportions, this George II oak dresser base is of finer construction than most Montgomeryshire bases. It has three drawers, the edges of which have been carved from the solid, unusual reverse baluster legs, ogee arched apron, panelled sides and a potboard at the base. Superb colour and patination. Circa 1740. 78 inches wide x 18 inches deep x 36 1/2 inches high.
