A lovely little primitive stool in ash with four stick legs pegged through to the top which is 2 1/2 inches thick and is made of well figured ash, the underside of which is rough hewn but has superb patination. Hard to date but probably circa 1800 although one of exactly the same construction was found buried on the Mary Rose and dates to about 1530. 19 1/2 inches x 8 inches across the top x 9 inches high.
