A CHARLES II OAK BOX SEATED ARMCHAIR.

Recently acquired from a local collection, this box seated armchair has a lifting seat held by its original butterfly hinges, swept arms and panelled base. The carving to the back panel, pyramid finials and fretted crest are typical of North Cheshire/South Lancashire. It dates to about 1680, is good untouched condition and has excellent colour.
