A TINY SOUTH WALES OAK DRESSER BASE.

This delicious little dresser base of narrow proportions is the smallest that I have ever had and would fit in anywhere. It dates to about 1790 and is probably from the Breconshire area of South Wales. In lovely untouched condition, it has three cock beaded drawers, an ogee arched apron over four elegantly turned front legs and its original potboard. The drawers have their original pressed brass handles and there are two similar false handles below. The dresser has wonderful honey colour and patination. 49 1/2 inches wide x 14 inches deep x 31 1/4 inches high.
