Whilst having a lower shelf is not that rare with Georgian cricket tables, it is unusual to find one that has a round rather than triangular shelf. This example dates to about 1770 and is in excellent untouched condition. The three legs are chamfered on their inner edges and have double mouldings to the exterior edge. The top measures 22 1/2 inches in diameter and the shelf has a diameter of 20 inches and it stands 27 1/2 inches high. Lovely colour and patination.
