A pair of Elizabethan oak pilasters modelled as a caryatid and an atlantes depicting a naked woman and a bearded man. Below each is carved a Green Man of typical form above foliage and fruit including a pineapple. They were quite possibly originally part of an Elizabethan tester bed and may represent a married couple. They have lovely rich colour and patination. 28 inches x 2 1/2 inches.
