A 17TH CENTURY SICILIAN JAR.

A good 17th century Sicilian maiolica jar of globular form known in Italy as "bombola". Painted in blue, green and yellow it has a roundel with the profile head of a man surrounded by stylised leaf and flower decoration. It dates to about 1680 and is 10 1/2 inches high.
