Probably dating, from the second half of the 15th century this alabaster fragment depicts God the Son and would have been placed at the top left of a panel showing The Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin (see Francis Cheetham "English Medieval Alabasters" page 206. It is set on old velvet in an antique plasterwork frame which measures 16 1/2 inches high x 14 1/2 inches wide. The well patinated fragment is 9 inches high x 4 1/2 inches wide and is 2 inches deep.
