Not normally my sort of thing, but this excellent quality Regency barometer came in a large private collection in Kent last year. It is in finely figured brass inlaid mahogany and has a silvered hygrometer above a bow fronted thermometer and a 12 inch diameter silvered dial. It bears the inscription A. Abraham Optician Liverpool were active in Liverpool in the first half of the 19th century and is decorated with a snake ring and bird motif. It is 4 feet high.
