A James I oak joint stool with some unusual features. The top has moulded edge sides and chip carved ends and the rails are also extensively chip carved and there are traces of paint. The simple columnar legs terminate on their original toes. By repute from Athelhampton House, Dorset. Circa 1630.17 1/2 inches x 11 inches x 22 inches high.
