A rare pair of silvered brass wall sconces designed by Ernest Gimson and based on 17th century designs. He supplied these to Haddon Hall in Derbyshire, amongst other places, and they can still be seen on the panelled walls in the house's guide book. They were designed to be used with electricity as were these and modern copies can be bought at over £1000 a pair. They are 10 inches wide on the candle holders.
