            A mid 17th century oak coffer, the moulded edge lid held by its original strap hinges (one with a small loss), a double panelled front, double panelled sides and a panelled back. the fine quality carving is typical of Somerset/Dorset. The internal till lacking a lid. Excellent rich dark colour and patination. 47 inches wide x20 inches deep x 27 1/2 inches high.
