Probably dating from the first third of the 19th century, this handsome double bow armchair is attributed to Nottinghamshire. It is a so-called "Best Chair" being made entirely in yew wood apart from the seat and has a fretted splat, a very broad and well figured elm seat and a crinoline stretcher. Excellent rich colour. 43 inches high and the seat is 18 inches high and 23 inches wide.
