Probably Welsh dating to the first quarter of the 18th century and comprising two sets of four high back oak chairs with fielded panel splats, fretted crest rails, solid seats and turned legs. With excellent colour and patination, they are 46 inches high overall and 18 1/2 inches seat height. One chair is a very good later copy.
