A superb early 18th century oak box seated settle.

At just under seven feet wide, this early 18th century oak settle has superb colour and patination and is in excellent untouched condition. It has a small crest on the top rail bearing the initials MWM and below are four fielded panels and five framed panels. The boarded seat has two lift out planks allowing for excellent storage. It has a panelled base and sides and swept silhouette arms. It has a good provenance having been bought in the Cotswolds for a large sum thirty odd years ago and since then it has been in a collection in Suffolk. It measures 82 inches wide x 19 inches deep x 47 inches high.
