Standing over two feet tall, this massive stone carved head is a wonderful example of early Celtic carving unless one has to carry it! It has come from a collection in North Wales and the quartz sandstone from which it is modelled suggests that it was from North or mid Wales. Such things are hard to date but it could well be two thousand years old. It is very well weathered and has a real presence. 26 inches high x 10 inches wide x 12 inches deep.
