A wonderful little early 18th century walnut miniature armchair with a crest rail carved with a scallop shell, a vasiform splat, carved seat rails and carved cabriole legs terminating on scrolled feet. The upholstery worn but probably original. It is hard to say what the original purpose of the chair was, but it is certainly of high quality and a very rare survivior. 18 inches high.
