Dating form about 1300, this late Romanesque figure depicting St Anne retains a considerable amount of its original polychrome decoration. The base material is poplar and it stands on an associated socle. The figure is hollow and has a small door on the back which suggests that it was intended to hold a relic of some form. Southern France/Spain circa 1300. 28 1/2 inches high.
