Probably from Snowdonia, this exceptionally small but heavily constructed oak dresser and rack represents one of the earliest forms of dresser, having evolved from the press cupboard. The rack has drop finials and two shelves, the base with two double fielded panel doors. Wonderful colour and patination typical of oak from North Wales. 53 inches wide x 20 1/2 inches deep x 67 inches high.
