A large early 18th century elm wall plaque.

By repute, this elm wall plaque was positioned outside a naval academy, possibly Chatham. It depicts three anchors inside a border of laurel leaves and has a crest which shows a knotted ribbon. The anchors are carved in deep relief, it retains some of its original paint and was fixed to the wall by large pegs. 22 1/2 inches high x 14 1/2 inches wide.
