A rare set of four early 18th century Brussels syrup jars of globular form and with their corks. They bear the inscriptions S.PAPV.E(R)R (WILD POPPY) I.ROSAR (rose petals) RHAM CATH (fruit of the buckthorn) and ROSAR:SOLUT (rose petals). Circa 1740. 8.5 inches high.
