A Charles II coffer with a wonderfully patinated elm top, two panels to the front carved with a double heart motif, strong moulding to the base and standing on good high stiles. Excellent colour throughout. Probably Gloucestershire circa 1660. 46 1/2 inches wide 20 1/2 inches deep x 25 1/2 inches high.
