The top of this low dresser is made from one plank of cherry, so it must have been a very large tree! The three deep drawers are also cherry and the four turned legs and two rear legs are in oak, presumably because of its extra strength. Super colour and patination throughout. Recently acquired from a long standing private collection in East Suffolk, this dresser is illustrated in The Price Guide to British Antique Furniture fig 470 in which it was valued at £7000-£10,000 in 2001. It is also illustrated in David Knell's English Country Furniture Colour Plate 31. 84 inches long x 18 1/2 inches deep x 32 1/2 inches high.
