This Sheraton period Pembroke table is a fine example of country furniture made in the fashionable style of the period but less sophisticated and using superb burr yew instead of walnut or mahogany. The top has an inlaid oval panel and crossbanding in satinwood and has its original rule joints and flap supports. The rails and legs are also in yew wood and it probably originally had castors. Wonderful figuring and colour to the top. 37 inches x 31 inches across the top when open and 19 1/4 inches with the leaves down. 27 inches high.
