Of rare form, this mid 17th century joined table has a single door enclosed cupboard, a two plank cleated end top and turned legs. The carving on the door and two adjacent panels is typical of Gloucestershire/Somerset, the side and back panels are plain. Excellent West Country colour. See Chinnery fig 3;177 for a similar example where he states that such pieces were probably used as livery or serving tables. 35 inches wide 24 1/2 inches deep x 31 1/2 inches high.
