A late 17th century Sicilian bottle.

Dating from the last quarter of the 17th century, this Caltagirone bottle was probably a drug jar (in Sicily drug jars were rarely inscribed). Attractively painted predominantly in blue, ochre and green, it is in good untouched condition and stands 9 1/2 inches high.
