A large late 17th century London "songbird" delft drug jar inscribed THER:LOND (a treacle formulated according to the London Pharmacopoeia). See "Dated English delftware" Lipski and Archer fig. 1645 for a jar with a similar design with the date 1679. Excellent unrestored condition. 8 inches high.
